Spotlight Theatre Arts

The Spotlight Theatre Performing Arts Studio is dedicated to the education and advancement of Performing Arts for teens and kids around the area. Our focus is on musical theatre performance (singing, acting, dancing) and we also offer individualized lessons in singning, acting, dancing, piano and guitar.

Spring 2012 Classes

Sign up early! Classes without adequate enrollment will be cancelled (waiting to register is the best way to close a class).

$15 discount for multiple family members enrolled in classes, "Bring-A-Friend" or for any registration received by January 10! Payments must be made in full before start of the class.

A $15.00 Registration/Materials fee has been applied to all classes.

STUDIO PRODUCTIONS

SPRING PERFORMANCE for grades 4-9

MUSIC MAN Jr!

Join us this Spring as we prepare for a FULL LENGTH production of "Music Man Jr" to be performed for friends and family at Spotlight April 27-28. At the studio we'll work on technique, skills, tips and tricks. On stage we'll work on perfecting those skills. We welcome all skill levels.

We'll teach the students everything they need to know before holding auditions for placement.

Ages: 4th-9th grade.
Cost: $195
Rehearsals: Sundays 3:00-6:00pm and Fridays 6:00-8:30pm. Starting January 22.

SPRING All-Ages PRODUCTION

ANNE OF GREEN GABLES

This Spring Spotlight Studios will produce its first All-Ages play - the classic story "Anne of Green Gables." This production will feature cast members young and old - giving opportunities to everyone.

Auditions will be in April with performances June 15, 16, and 17 2012 at Spotlight Studios!

Each month on Saturday from 4:00-5:00pm Spotlight will host a special workshop. Each workshop covers a different topic. Sign up for individual workshops or for a bunch!

Cost: $25 for one workshop. $20 if you sign up for more than one!

Find out how to select, cut and prepare a song for auditions. If you have songs in mind for auditions, bring them.

Saturday February 11 - Audition Workshop - Acting
Learn how to successfully perform monologues, cold reads, tips & tricks for your best acting audition.

Saturday March 10 - Audition Workshop - Dance
Learn how to survive and dazzle at a dance audition.

Saturday March 31 - Audition Workshop - Mock Audition
Put your audition skills to the test, BEFORE the big day.

Saturday April 21 - Skills Workshop - Glee
Learn songs and dances just like the popular TV show.

Saturday May 12 - Skills Workshop - Improv
Make up scenes on the spot - no lines to memorize!
